Posted March 11, 2018 10:16:38 After a successful launch last year, Rockingham College is taking the plunge again with a free music class that’s sure to please the rock-a-thons crowd.
Rockingham’s free music program has been popular with students for years, but the school has always had a tough time finding space to offer it.
Rocking Around the Campus will offer a two-hour class on Monday nights at the school from 7 to 10 p.m. to anyone with an online subscription.
For $49, students can sign up for the class at any of the Rockingham campus locations and receive the class as a download.
Classes are scheduled for Thursday and Friday nights, and the Rocking Up the Campus program is also available.
Rockings Up the College program also includes a special art class and music classes.
Students can signup for the free music group at the Rockings up the campus location and receive them as a digital download.
The program will also offer an in-person session with the Rockers on Monday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 8 p.s.m., followed by an in person performance with the band on Wednesday, Feb 25, from 8 to 10:30 p.a.
There are no registration requirements and there’s no minimum age to sign up.
Rockers are a new band that debuted in the Rockies in 2014 and released its debut album, Rocking, last year.
The group has been playing regularly for more than a year, but Rockers co-founder Michael Gee has been busy putting together the new album.
“We’ve been jamming with all these people,” Gee told The Huffington Googles.
“It’s been great.
It’s been really fun.”
The Rockers first release was the 2013 debut album Rocking the Campus, which included the single “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
The band has released a number of singles since then including “Get Away From Me,” “Walking Around,” “Beneath the Sea,” “A New Love,” “Take My Hand,” “I Am Your Mother,” and “We Are What We Are.”
Rocking The Campus has been a hit at festivals and festivals across the country, and it has sold out for the last two shows.
