The Harford Community College blood donation program is offering free blood to the general public in the fall of 2019.
The Harford College blood bank also announced that it will begin to distribute blood from the campus at least once a month through September 2019.
The college has more than 1,500 blood donors and the blood bank is working closely with the Harford Medical Center to distribute the blood, said the school’s president, Kevin Clark.
Harford College, a private university in Maryland, is a member of the National Blood Services (NBS) network, which provides blood donation services across the country.
Harford has a donor network of more than 100 hospitals and health centers, and is the largest of the nine Blood Banks of the United States.
